As General Manager of the Four Seasons Hotel in Austin, Tom Segesta uses "15 Characteristics of Leadership" to help build on the company's highly esteemed position as one of the preeminent luxury hotel chains. They also reinforce the company's brand equity in providing world-class hospitality services to ensure that every guest has an unforgettable (user) experience.

Tom excels in the hospitality business and he's passionate about it. A graduate of Michigan State University, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Hotel Restaurant and Institutional Management. In his career, Tom has worked for many of the most decorated hotels in the Four Seasons company, including five AAA Five-Diamond hotels. Now, as general manager of the AAA Four-Diamond, Mobil Four-Star Four Seasons Hotel Austin, he oversees a team of 340 full-time employees; ensuring that expectations are exceeded daily for guests of the 291-room property.

Recent awards and honors include #1 Hotel in Austin, 2006 Conde Nast Traveler, Gold List; #1 Hotel in Austin, 2006 Travel + Leisure and The Cafe – Austin's only Mobil Four Star Restaurant Tom is an active member of the Austin community, serving as a director for the Austin Symphony and on the Board of Directors for the Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce and the Austin Convention & Visitors Bureau.

In addition, he is president of the Austin Hotel & Lodging Association.
