Cliff Redd, Executive Director, The Long Center for the Performing Arts
Cliff Redd is a veteran arts leader with an extensive background in fundraising, public relations, marketing, and special events. He has earned recognition from the Texas Commission on the Arts, Dallas Morning News, The 500, Inc. as the Top Funding Recipient and the City of Dallas, Office of Cultural Affairs.
Prior to being named as Executive Director for the Long Center in July 2004, Cliff Redd was Executive Director of the ArtCentre of Plano in Plano, Texas. Previous arts credentials also include serving as founder and Executive Director of Theatre Arlington in Arlington, Texas; Artistic Director and Executive Producer for the Shakespeare Festival of Dallas; Executive Director of The 500, Inc., a Dallas-based organization raising funds for local arts organizations.
Redd is the past president of Texas Non-Profit Theatres and past president of Stonewall Professional and Business Association. He teaches continuing education programs and management seminars. He has directed more than 70 critically acclaimed contemporary, classical and musical productions.
Cliff Redd is a Houston native. He was a self-directed theatre major in college, attending the University of North Texas in Denton; Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas; and the University of Texas at Austin. Cliff Redd lives in Austin - in his spare time, Mr. Redd enjoys relaxing with his son at his second home on the Texas Gulf Coast.
